As multinational companies have grown globally in the last decade—especially through mergers and acquisitions—Corporate Universities (CUs) have become a strategic tool for developing their talent (ESADE, 2008, 2009, 2010). In this article, which is based on both a literature review and on the actual experience of designing a portfolio of programs and providing training for CUs, the authors summarize the most important aspects of the strategic role of a CU: its organizational structure, its learning model, its operation, and its evaluation indicators.
